The Pipsico History Project has existed in several forms since about 2008. In that year several former Camp Lions staff thought it would be nice if they could start an organization to provide camperships to Scouts, fund projects at camp, and document the history of Pipsico Scout Reservation. We don’t yet provide camperships or fund projects, but we are working hard to document our history before it is forgotten. It is our hope that we can gather a comprehensive history of Pipsico Scout Reservation into a series of books and documentary films. Proceeds from the sales of these materials will then be used to fund our efforts to help camp and campers.
- “The Boy Scout camp should have a flavor that distinguishes it from other camps. Scouting is a natural compliment to the outdoors-it should never destroy or deface the natural beauty of an area.”
